What distinguishes these battery types?
With the battery type BL1850B the Makita DR200Z cleans a maximum of 200 minutes (carpets max. 170 minutes), which is equivalent to a maximal area of 500 m2. In comparison, the battery type BL1830 offers a maximum of 300 m2, cleaning for up to 120 minutes (carpet floors maximal 100 minutes). The cleaning times refer to a fully loaded battery.
Makita Robot Vacuum can be switched on via timer

Clean Edges, Corners and Floors
The Makita robot vacuum is equipped with extra long side brushes. Their bristles reach far beyond the robots’ edge what ensures a thorough cleaning along edges and corners. The large main brush (⌀ 50 mm x 260 mm) absorbs coarse dirt into the dust bin.

2.5l Dust Bin with Filter
The dust bin of the robot hoover offers 2.5l to collect dirt and dust. Pollution like dirt particles, woodchips, wood shavings, pellets or metal shavings are transported into the dust bin effortlessly.
The dust bin is divided into two sections and offers enough space for fine dirt particles and coarse dirt. Additionally the Makita robot vacuum is equipped with a highly efficiency filter. The dust bin as well as the filter can be rinsed and cleaned with water.
Two Different Cleaning Modes
In Automatic-Cleaning mode the Makita DRC200Z absorbs dust and dirt particles (“Vacuuming & Main Brush” Mode). The dust is transported into the upper container of the dust bin, dirt and coarse particles are collected in the lower one.
To only absorb coarse dirt particles, it is possible to turn the vacuuming function off. This is called the “Main Brush” mode, in which the range is enlarged to a maximum of 1,000 m2(battery type BL1850B).
Area-Covering and Thorough Floor Cleaning
Depending on the room conditions it is recommended to adjust the navigation of Makita robot vacuum. For large areas with no obstacles, the “pattern” mode is the best choice. If robot hoover is used in an area with a lot of obstacles, the “shuffle” mode is the right choice. The driving mode can be chosen directly on the robot at the “driving mode button”. Below you can see a diagram of the driving modes:
Limit the Cleaning Area
The cleaning area of robot vacuum can be defined with the help of a boundary band. The boundary band has to be installed on the floor and defines the area that has to be cleaned. The Makita DR200Z reacts to the boundary band automatically. The boundary band detection can optionally be switched on or off.
Easy to Handle
The 2.5 l dust bin can easily be taken out, emptied and reinserted on the top of the robot vacuum. The dust bin as well as the main brush and the filter can be rinsed and cleaned with water.
